Go vernor's Honors James Smith Mathematics North Georgia College The best summer of my eighteen years, I .spent at North Georgia College as a G.H.P. participant. I made more close friends in those six weeks than ever before and learned more in those six weeks than the previous school term. It was the first time I throughly enjoyed being in a classroom for so long. In totaL I spent nine and one-half hours per day. The first four and a half hours I spent in my Major area, Math, and the rest was attributed to interest areas such as architectural transformation in Dahlonega Walls, French Review, Recreational games, Beginning Surveying, and Transactional Analysis for Teens. The instructors and dorm assistants were wonderful companions as well as administrators. They were a great help in adjusting to an independent lifestyle which made them one of us. Students in other areas enhanced the program signilicantly with concerts, dramas, and spectacular dance performances, all put together in just a few weeks. We all worked together in order to enjoy what we'd like to term this excursion for six weeks James A. Smith
