1983 HENR YVILLE HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS As school began in August, so did the activities. With everyone returning from camps and vaca- tions, excitement was in the air. Everyone was eager to see old friends and make some new ones. Cross Country started everything off. This years team had the best season ever from Henryville High! They placed third in the sectional and ad- vanced to the semi-state. When volleyball season rolled around, the team gave a fine showing and came through with the title of runner-up in the Pekin Eastern Sectionals. Student Council started the basketball season with the ever so famous SPIRIT WEEK . Every class worked hard to earn that spirit stick, but the Seniors came out on top. Everyone was fired up for the oncoming season. In December, the Pep Club sponsored the Home- coming. It was one of the finest ever! And our new queen, Cara Howell, one of the prettiest ever! The Student Council sponsored a Valentine Dance and held the first annual King 8: Queen of Hearts contest. And who won??? H.H.S.'s lovebirds themselves . . . Donnie Basham and Vicki Flowers. With March comes baseball, softball, track, and golf. The weather wasn't very cooperative but the season was Eunfilled and the teams made us at H.H.S. proud. We're all looking forward to next year. As May came around, for some of us, too soon, school came to a close. Memories of the Junior- Senior Prom, the Senior trip, and much more will be remembered for a long time to come. The seniors looked back on all of the years that were filled with fun and hard work while the rest of us at Henryville High School look forward with great anticipation to the coming school year. 1983 REFLECTIONS TABLE 0f CONTENTS Seniors .........
