g Highlights of H79-80 The opening of school and the start of cross country began our year in August. September consisted of Student Council Installation and a workshop for the HReflections staff. Pictures at the Murphy's farm was a nice change of scenery for the seniors and class arkb. Ag. omcers. The Student Council Convention was in November, so was the Fall Festival. They were both great experiences for our student body. November was our fired-up month. Basketball season started and Spirit Week helped us to be fired-up for all our games, mainly our game against Silver Creek. Our Homecoming Game was in December. Santa Claus also came in December, the day before Christmas Break. Once we came back to school in January we stayed there, because of very few snow days. Cupid came in February with Valentine's Day. Government students went to the Indiana State Legislature. and OH! Rats! Still no snow. Everybody knows we made history in March, since we came in second in the Madison Sectionals!!! March also began great seasons of softball, baseball, and track. This month brought a State Finals opportunity to our Color Guard, during Spring Break. Class Tourneys kept us in a competitive attitude toward the end of March, and the month ended with our National Model UN Delegates winning honors in New York City. April brought Easter bunnies and one special rabbit, named HARVEY, in the Senior Play. The Seniors were also given their Prom by the Juniors this month. The FHA had a Mother-Daughter Banquet. And the Student Council sponsored a Gong Show. May had a lot of activities to go with the beautiful weather. The Spanish Club went to Chi Chis, the nRefiections staff went to , Clark State Forest, and the Seniors went to New York and ,. Washington DC. The Student Council became slaves to our students. Awards Day and the Athletic Banquet gave recognition ? to our outstanding students. Graduation also came and took away :,- some of our favorite people. Finally, baseball sectionals gave us a ' good chance to show our stuff!! IT WAS A GREAT YEAR HHS!!!!!!!!!!!! -Kimberly Gray .11
