The person who coordinates and facilitates all school activities and acts as liaison between faculty and students. Any person who takes this responsibility must train himself by attending a national leadership workshop. Advisor's Comments: Henryville High Student Council was started in 1969-70 by a concerned group. President-Carey Rothbauer, Senior, with Dwight Fisher-faculty advisor, and Cecil Vannoy, Senior, who was mostly responsible for the constitution, showed prime leadership in this initial year of organization. The Council, at this time was thought of as a club. In 1971-72, Patricia Marsh became advisor with Judy Huter as president. The Council's aim from that point on was to become a service and legislative organization. You best may judge our success. Some of our greatest achievements have been school dances, spirit week, activity letter, and several annual programs. Our aim for the coming years is school pride. Being a member of the Student Council this year has been a very intriguing experience. It has been filled with a variety of different people, emotions, views and beliefs. From this, we have learned more about each other, our school, and most of all ourselves. We have gained experience in communication and responsibility. Even though it is a lot of hard work, you have a lot of good times. There is also a lot of satisfaction from seeing the goals you have set finally being reached. Susie Goodman P.S. Guess who's behind the cigar??

NEWS PAPER 5 ' Newspaper! Newspaper! Get your school newspaper! Hornet's Huddle! Get your newspaper! hThis year, as you may have noticed, the paper had a different look. We went to a workshop at Hanover to learn how to put a paper together to have it sent off and printed up. It took us a while to get the first one out, and then we only made four. But we've learned alot and next year the paper will probably be even better. Thanks to all of you who helped make our paper a success. Editor-Stacey Robertson The newspaper worked hard and we put out a new and exciting paper. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and we hope next year to make it bigger and better. I want to thank Mrs. Allen for her help. Co-Ed.-Debbie Stewart
