As we use our crystal ball to glance into the future years of 1975-74, we see that Shirley Hamm isihe manager of Old Gramma's Whiskey Distillery , which sponsors the nationally broadcasted mystery orogram, Ragnet . Dale Watson is widely Known as Captain Thursday of Ragnet , and his assistant is Sergeant Hugh Cox, who cracked the case of Watson's Missing Glasses . Now we see that they are working on another case and this is The Robbery of the Bunny-Hop Dance Hall , owned by Joyce Watson, better known as Slim , who is the wife of Billy Aldrich, presidentcf The Trustless Loan Company . Captain Thursday is questioning the Hillbilly Singer at this dance hall,Charlotte Henretty, who says that she recognized Dickie Smallwood, public enemyrumber one, and his notorious partner in crime, Tommy Williams, two of the suspects heading for Killer's Cave organized by Darlene Killebrew, The Great Man- Killer of all Times. Her husband, Johnny Elrod,is separated fromker because he believes that she is hiding out these criminals. While this is going on, assistant Cox is questioning four of the chorus girls of the Bunny-Hop Dance Hall, Fae Minor, who is queen of the Dance Hall, Gayle Guernsey, wife of the wealthy Calendar Company Executive, Carlton Sanders, Iris Linne, who is the part-time secretary of Charles Rueft Mayor of Tough Street,and Theresa Hayes who, besides dancing there also designsihe dancer's costumes. Afterquestion- ing these dancers Cox has come to thecnnclusion thatihe piano playen Francis Conroy, knows more thanks is willing to admit but his girl friend, Josephine Baxter, says that she thinks his trust-worthy chauffeur, Darrell Sherrard,is implicated in the crime. Sergeant Cox and Captain Thursday have decided that the case is getting too complicated for them so they have called upon higher officials from Washington, D. C. These officials are Betty Coomes, who is the best woman detective in Washington, and Arlie Dotson, who, besideslning an F.B.I. official, is also the authortf thetest sellingtook of the year, Midnight Falls at.Dawn. Now that they are here,they arefinding new clues. thn Jones, who is the Janitor at the Dance Hall, hasxun acrossone of the glovescf the well-known Hollywood actress, Joan Thomas, who has just finished'te picture, Comedy Joan. Jones doesn't knew what to do with1he glove, so he haStbcided to ask the advice of Marvin Gapinske, a real prizeiighter, who is known by millions as Punchless Gus for having wonthe total of one fight. Gus thinks that JonesSunud turn the glove over to the authoritiesfbr more evidence. Now that they have this glove and are getting closer to the solution, Tim Doup, Joan'Stn-star in the picture that they just finished, thinks that they should have more evidence before Joan is convicted. Tim goes out and returns with another clue which later will solvethe whole mystery. This clueuas given to him by an employee of the Butts and Davis Rabbit Farm, ownedty Betty utts and Pat Davis. This employeeis Barbara Gilley, who feeds the rabbits weekly. But it seems that none of these suspects are guilty, Captain Thursday and Sergeant Cox have Jlst caught Barbara Gilley's neighbor, antid maidfhrbaraFUrnish,and her caretaken Murray Bagshaw with the rabbit, which is what was stolenat the Bunny-HOp Dance Hall The clue which cnnvicted Barbara and her caretakervas a headcf lettuce brought back by Tim, on which the rabbit had nibbled.
