THE SENIOR CLASS I'm writing a poem of the Seniors of the class or nineteen-fifty, The class of dear old H. H. S. and brother, is it nifty: To start out with there's William who hasn't got an enemy here, He's a boy who you're proud to be around throughout thd whole school year. Then next there's Pauline, a girl of class and style, She wants to get married right away, but has to wait a long while. Then there's Carroll, a wonderful guy, a guy who is handy with girls When He passes through the aisles at school, he leaves all or them in a whirl. And fourth there's Mary, a cute little miss; she's seventeen and maybe a half, She does very well in her subjects. at typing she's head or the class. Next there's Maude, her cousin, a girl of fourteen and three, Whenever these girls are together, the world is full of glee. And Anna, who's eighteen in a month or so, another of the Senior Class, Tho' there's twenty six of us now, she doesn't come in at the last. Charlene is there, the next in line, she sure is one of us, I'm not so sure how her grades run, but she never raises a fuss. Kermit Jackson is next you shall see, a boy who is bashful as he can be. He has curly hair and dark brown eyes, although he's bashful, he's really a swell guy. Sue McKean is next to Jackson, you know, our treasurer of forty-nine-- Check over her books all you want, you'll find it all there to the dime. And Nancy, the brain, as you may call her, is running a race with Sue, To see who's the smartest and makes the best grades. I'll leave it all to you. Sue Metzger, the girl I mentioned above, is smart as she can be, We elected her president of our class, and she keeps us full or glee. The next we see is Marjorie M., another school mate of ours, She likes to ride in Model A's and stay out very late hours. And of course, there's Max, who is Marjorie's cousin, If he has any enemies they'd be less than a dozen. Malcolm is the tallest one or our class--he's six feet three inches tall, To show how smart he really can be he's heading for Purdue this fall. Jimmy Parrish, ah: now there is a boy--he was cheer leader last year, Whenever he has a fuss with a girl, he makes it all quite clear. Charles Popp, we know, is another fine lad, a lad we love to see, His subject we think that he likes best, is reciting PO-E-TRY. Gene is there with the rest of the class, a girl who is honest and true, As long as you are good to her, she will be good to you. And now it's Rex, a basketball player, he may be little but he's good, He's a little short guy with wavy hair, and go with all the girls, he could. The next we have is Wilma 5., she's as pretty as she can be, :e're waiting and wondering and hoping to see, the man whose wife she's gonna ee

Betty is the girl whose already hitched, but finishing her school the same, She's lucky and smart and already knows, that marriage is not Just a game. Jo Ann is going to be a poet, I think; she writes poems in Government class, But that doesn't hinder her other work, because she isn't one of the last. Now Austin, is the guy you want to know, Big Stick , as he's often called, If anyone ever goes picking on you, call Austin, and he'll get mauled. Donald is the Senior's hunk of man, To please the girls, he can't be beat, To show you what a gentlemen he is he'd give anybody his school room seat. ,Darrell is a pal of everyone; to no one he shows any hate. Talking about getting to school on time he's one guy who's never late. And then there's Inez, another little miss, who likes to go to school as well as eat, She gets her lessons all down pat; as for bookkeeping she can't be beat. At last there's me, there's nothing to tell, except as a Senior I'm proud to be :3 have gone through school with all of my pals, and hope they've had as much n as me. Well, there they are, the Whole Senior Class and boy 1am I glad. I'll remember this poem in later years, and think about the fun we've had. hhSENIORS TEN YEARS AGOhh First Row tLeft to Righti: Marshall Swisher,011fford Call, uax Hontgomery,$onny Carpenter,Johnny Heath,Betty Jo EggenSpeller,Pauline Collins,MarJorie Mont- gomery,Maud Guernsey,Mary Guernsey Second Row: Gene Schafer,nar1a Evans,CarrolI Griffin,Hugh Miller,Donnie Taylor Jimmie Guernsey,Sue McKean,Betty Brooks,MarJorie Payne,Anna Guthrie Third Row: Malcolm Omer,stan1ey Bagshaw,Daniel Hobbs,G1adys Roe,Gharles Sweenoygnarrell Woodlock,Billy Wilkerson,Dona1d Wood,Mary Lee Essenspeller, Inez Zollman Fourth How: John Agar,MarJaret Kallenbaugh,CIenton Bushon,Sammv Taylor,Tommy Taylor,Kermit Jackson,Vernon Nickelson,Bobby Thomas Fifth Row: Lucy Grider, Miss Ditzel tTeacheri
