Class History banquet carried out an Indian theme. Big Chief Don Shane was our Master of Ceremonies. We had a heap big time and after the banquet we had a Junior-Senior Prom at Teen Town. Later that month we helped the Seniors to graduate by decorating the gym and doing odd jobs at 'Commence- ment and Baccalaureate services. We were sorry to see the Seniors leave but we were anxious to be next year's SENIORSl Then came that fateful day in September, 1950, and we were H. H. S.'s highest classmen! We were really going to be busy this year. First of all we chose Carroll Hat- field as President, Bob Rodriquez as vice-president, Dean Brison as secretary and treasurer. Arylene Henderson and Ronald Collett were our yell leaders and Miss Huss was again elected our spon- sor. There were a lot of new faces around this year - Mr. Power, our new wardeng Mrs. Gay, our language teacher, Mr. Speer, Mr. Berryhill, Mr. Rezabek, Miss Moor- er, and all the rest. Then came the happy day we chose our rings and announce- ments. Everyone thought a differ- ent ring was prettiest but we finally got together and ordered some.- In December we had our Senior Dinner with decorations, trees, presents, and everything - includ- ing a real, live Santa Clause who gave away embarrassing gifts. Some left the dinner red faced, but happy. But then in January our rings came. You could tell the Seniors by the way they held their arms. Next came the annual Junior-Sen- ior basketball game and this time we won. On April 2 we had OUR day. We had a picnic and went skating and had an all-around good time. Teen town gave us a dance that night. The girls were busy that night - they were getting ready for our Senior Tea which was given by the Twentieth :Cen- tury Club the next afternoon. In May the Juniors treated us with a banquetg the Teen Towners treated us with a nrom. The ban- quet was beautiiul and the p-rom was a lot of fun. This was really a busy month. This was probably the last time all of us would ever be together, but few of us had time to think about it. Our caps and gowns came and for the first time we realized we were Seniors. Were we ever a proud and good-looking bunch of Seniors! That week we were very busy - Baccalaureate, Commencement and everything tall at once. Now we proudly, but sadly de- part from the old school, leaving behind us a lot of hard work and fun and we hope a lot of pleasant memories.
