MJAHQQ SENIOR CHIEF PE TTY OFFICER OF THE COMMAND SKCS CSWJ NAPARRETE enlisted in the Navy at Sangley Point, Cavite City, Philippines, on October 9, 1964. His first sea duty assignment was to the USS Shields IDD-5961 Two years later he re- quested SWAP to the USS Taussig QDD- 746D and made his first WESTPAC de- ployment in Vietnam in 1966. In November 1, 1971, then SK3 NA- FARRETE, transferred to USS Buckley CDD-8081. The Recruit Training Com- mand at Naval Training Center, San Diego, Ca., in the office of the Material and the Supply Support Department was SK2 NAFARRETE's first shore duty as- signment. In 1975 SK1 NAPARRETE was transferred to sea duty aboard the USS Prairie QAD-151. SK1 NAFARRETE returned to Naval Training Center, Service School Com- mand, San Diego, Ca., as an instructor in November 1978. After instructors duty, SKC NAPARRETE transferred to the USS O'Brien QDD-9751. His most recent assignment was as a student at Naval Supply Corps School in Athens, Georgia, then to COMNAVSURFPAC San Diego, Ca., before he transferred aboard the USS Henry B. Wilson QDDG-71, LCPO Supply Department, and later in September 1986 became the acting SCPOC. He served in this capacity until February 1987. He was promoted to his present rank in June 16, 1983. SKCS QSWJ NAPARRETE awards in- clude good conduct medal and wears var- ious campaign and service medals.
