KNOW YE that the USS Henry W. Tucker CDD-8755, a visitor from the lands beyond my vast domain, having served underthe direct influence and command of my realm, is duly appointed by me to be numbered as a VOYAGER OF THE ORIENT. OPERATING IN'MY DOMAIN for the past two years, the men who sail the Tucker have called Yokosuka, home of the Japanese, their home also and have brought great credit to themselves, their banner and their ances- tors beyond the seas. L THE GOLDEN DRAGON, RULER OF THE 180th MERIDIAN, do royal- ly authorize the officers and men of this proud ship to chronicalize the events of a year in my realm in the pages of this journal,which they have nobly dedicated to my august person. FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE I extend my noble gratitude and place upon the crew of the Tucker a regal spell. I COMMAND that said sailors shall be commissioned from this day forward ORIENTAL SAILORS under my perpetual command, and will take with them from my realm the silent mysteries of the Far East to influence their lives forever more.
