Although eight lettermen returned to the squad, only four were regulars of the year before. Beating the Panthers I2 to fi without the services of Tuttle and Proctor, first string end and center, who were out from inf juries suffered in the Shelbyville game. ln the Corbin game the lighter inexperieneed Blue Devils outfought and outganied one of the best teams in the state to win by a seore of 7 to 0. During this game our boys scored over and stopped a team in whose forward wall were two all-state tackles. llladison High of Richmond was the next vie- tim. However, our boys suffered a let-down after the brilliant game against Corbin and were able tm defeat a greatly inferior team by only lj points. 4 l inal seore lj to 0. Henry Clay won their fifth consecutive vietfzry by winning a C. K. C. battle from Xlt. Sterling 18 to 6. Levy scored two touchdowns on r11ns of over 50 yards. Untweighed IS pounds to the nian the lilue Devils, playing heads-up ball, tied the Danville Ad- mirals, a team rated in the top-flight of Kentucky High School football. Final seore was 7 to 7. Driving for I0 first downs to their opponents I. Henry Clay easily defeated Georgetown lligh Sehool by a seore of 20 to 0. Reserves were used during the last half and although they did no scor- ing, the substitutes carried the fight to the lluflfaloes and were able to hold them without difficulty.
