STUDENT The memhership of the Student- Teacher Council consists of the various class officers, three students from the school at large, and six faculty advisors. Nleetings are held each Monday during the school year. This group endeavors to stimulate and promote those activities which may he heneficial to the students, to serve as a medium for expressing their ideas and de- sires, to develop a spirit of fellowship, and to foster a friendly relationship with other high schools. This year the Con- stitution has been amended to hroaden its scope, and the point system has lween re- vised tio include additional school activ- ities. The Council secured funds from the Board of Education for the equipment of the Recreation Room, which has proven a very popular project. It also inaugurated a series of hi-weekly radio hroadcasts presented lwy the students of the school, over station Wl.AP. It is attempting to secure the installation of radio equipment at Henry Clay so that future programs may he hroadcast directly First Semester

The Hi-Times is published bi-weelcly during the school year by the students of Henry Clay High School. Williaxn Scully as editor-in- chief and James Ireland as business manager have headed the paper for the past year. The duties of the editor and his four asso- ciates, Mabel Lovens, Vie Crutcher, Sarah McLean, and Laura Lyons, are to read copy, write headlines, checlc the proof and see that the paper comes out on time and is correct in every detail. Eight department editors are required so that the various sections receive proper attention. These heads are: jerry Flynn, Newsg Robert Nash, Sports, Homer Given, Literary, El- bridge Snapp, Featureg Martha Knox, Society: Helen Ades, Exchangeg John Keller, Literary, first semesterg and Robert Declcard, Feature, first semester. Seventeen reporters gather the news and sub- mit it to the office. On this staff are: john Berry, Margaret Brady, Gene Riddell, Dorothy Ammons, Billy Nash, Anne Meyers, Ella Given, Louise Nisbet, Joe Massie, Marjorie Coolce, Meredith Waiiless, Cora Carriclc, Earl Fowler, Betty Tapscott, Betty Elliott, Kermit Turner, and D.
