Through a program of leisure time educa- tion and extra-curricular activities the club tries to help the girl at Henry Clay to form habits which will aid her growth and development, to give her a broader outlook ancl a deeper insight into the possibilities of life, and to guide her into developing right attitudes toward her fellow students. Every girl in school is eligible for membershipg the average attend- ance is eighty-live. This year the club has operated a second-hand bookstore for the benefit of the stuclentsg Over eight hundred books have been handled during the two semesters. The money cleared by the club maintains a library of school books available to students unable to buy text books. Each year the girls sponsor a party for all the girls in schoolg a football banquet, honoring the members of the foot- ball squadg a basketball dinnerg and a mother and faculty tea.
