Eaglettes Display Good Sportsmanship Co-captains Hart and Martin with Mrs. Colley, Coach. , 2--9-r' Henry Clay's field hockey team began practice at the end of September with six games scheduled. The team was cap- tained by Bonnie Sue Martin and Jean Hart, managed by Virginia Robbins and Mary Morrison, and coached by Mrs. Louise Colley. The first game was with Thomas Dale which Henry Clay won 3-0. The starting line-up had seven girls from the previous year and four new girls. A losing streak followed as Henry Clay bowed to Stafford on the home field l-0, and on the op nent's field 2-0. In the next two games Spotsylvania topped the Eaglettes l-0 and Man- chester defeated them 5-0. The team ended the season, although handicapped by ill- ness and lack of substitutes, with a win over Thomas Dale 3-l . Henry Clay 3 Thomas Dale 0 Henry Clay 0.
