orewori I Come what, come may, Time and the hour runs through Jr the roughest day. y Shakespeare To every student atHeruy Clay the big bell in the tower begins the day, and the hall clock ticks off the hours. In presenting the school day as the theme for THE 1953 SLAS- SHES, we have used these symbols of time. Grandpa Clock represents the mature seniors, old and wise in judg- ment; the big Alarm represents the juniors, enthusiastic and boisterous in youth; the Cuckoo Clock symbolizes the would-be sophistocated sophomores, and the Baby Ben, of course, characterizes the freshmen.
