In one game the younger boys won with a score of 12-10. They had three teams: Indians, Yankees, and Wild Cats. They built a miniature Swiss village which included snow-capped mountains, water falls, a house, and a herd of sheep. The third graders made a wall panel about the Eskimos, while the fourth graders made one of Africa. The third and fourth graders were very sorry to have Mrs. Berger leave in January. when they got to know Mrs. Wagoner, their new teacher, they found they liked her very much. FIRST AND SECOND GRADES One of the projects of the first and second graders was earning money for the Junior Red Cross. They presented a dramatization of mThe Three Little Pigs.n They wrote invitations, printed and designed programs, and made tickets to sell for two cents each. The Red Cross nurse put an article, in the Elyria paper about the project and posted some of the programs in the Elyria Red Cross Office. The first and second graders made a feeding station for winter birds. Another project was building a miniature store for arith etic class to help in the study of money. Several parties were held to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. Among many other worthwhile projects, they tried with success to write orig- inal poetry. .. ,nv -' V . 4-. ,.---:cpgpq A , -l, , A ...
