The most advertised seemed to be a shop run by Marie Elnor, nthe woman who makes the stars beautiful. Not to let the movie stars get ahead of mo, I decided to go there. I found the owner to be a small woman with with long, beautifully curled blond hair. It was Marie Perkins. Marie told me that Lois Steele was now in Hollywood. She had made a name for herself in the dress designing business. Her drawing of high school days had certainly paid off. Marie called Lois to tell her that I was in town. Even though they were rushed with business, they took time off to talk to an old friend. When I left them, I had, not only a new hairdo, but an original dress from a nationally known designer. The plane stopped for a short time in Kansas City, but it was long enough for me to find another old friend, Edith Pete. She had married a tall, lanky cattle rancher and had moved West. She told me that ranch life was very invigor- ating and quite different from high school life in Henrietta. She asked me about the others from our graduating class , and I told her of my recent meetings. Then it was time to be off. The next stop was Albrequerque, New Mexico, I bought a newspaper, and splashed all over the front page was a story about some new purchases by the Atonov Oil and Diamond Company. Pictures of the owner and his wife were settled in prominent places. Right away I knew that blond hair and turned-up nose. Veneta Hozalski had actually caught her rich man with a big black mustache! I called on Veneta and found her the same frlendl eerson she had alwa s been. She told for her so much name Atenov was Now I knew Arlene and Bill what Arlene had Y Y me how happy she was now. Her husband cared that he named his business after her. The actually Voneta spelled backwards. what all the Seniors were doing but two, Looking further through the paper, I found become. There was an insurance advertise- ment. Recognising the name as that of Arlene's high school boy friend, I decided to follow it up. Sure enough, when I rang the doorbell, Arlene answered. Several blond, curly- headed, little children peaked around the door at me. After a long visit, I was again on my way. In a Texas airport, I noticed numerous advertisements of a famous grapefruit grove, nGrapefruit, oranges, and bananas grown tree-ripe. Get the best from the best ranch in Texas, the ranch where the fruit is grown by the new Atomic Method - Bill Bonnett.n Bill must have inherited his grandfather's ranch. How I knew what had become of all my graduating class. I visited Bill's ranch and was greeted by a tanned, brown-haired Bill with as many muscles asxhad made him the terror of the Boys' Boxing group in high school. I bade him farewell and r turned to the airport and my work, happy that I had seen all of my old friends '.- il f e D n . ' I ni , A o Nh V HHW' T1 'Lil X aku. K- u. , X '., , 4 , 3?
