Hardly had the class assembled .- under the careful guidance of Nr. John Fails, - E5 i when class elections brought Wayne Stayton the 1 ig Presidency, Caroline Greszler the position of I. , Vice-president, Lois Steele the job of Secretary, 3+ and Carolyn Schlechter the money bags as Treas- A ' : urer. This year saw one new member. Veneta ,gh-f Hozalski from Lynch, Kentucky, joined the ranks. tg 1+ e The Juniors started the ball of festivities rolling by sponsoring a hayride, which was held : - 1' V on September 21. A farewell partywas held for ', ,gg ff 0, Wayne Stayton at the home of Richard Currier on -'A-'Q' 53 December 19. Wayne moved to Indiana and later ff' 1 joined the navy. ,xi Class rings brought the next thrill, and Q frequent handwavings brought the coveted jewelry 'f into the limelight. In December the class spon- jzfl W sored the Hoosier Cornhuskers who provie those 'VKX attending with humorous entertainment. Floyd gif- , Hes s provided the music for a dance held on Feb- iw: J 'Qty ruary 21. Next was the annual event of the Jun- '- ior play. The play presented was entitled The ,IQ 1. P Big: Blow-up. ,fu Q15 Early in March, 1947, Richard Currier left T Henrietta to join the Army. 1 -- ' Ar ,jviiavh , Q The calendar kept moving, and soon the date A, X for the Junior - Senior Reception arrived. This A ' took place at Martin's Inn on May 10. A dance V was held in the school gym. Music was furnished . ,Q W:-ffg, by the Jolly Boys. iff. in My, 'A RQ! :gi All through the year the Juniors ran the j.,'fWg7lw,T- school's store.
