In one ff' game the younger boys won with 9. score of 12-lO. R They had three teams: Indians, Yankees, and Wild R Cats. 'ix' They built a miniature Swiss village which Ed included snow-capped mountains, water falls, 9. house, and a herd of sheep. The third graders 55 4 made a wall panel about the Eskimos, while the fourth graders made one of Africa. fl.. The third and fourth graders were very 'N Q43 sorry to have Mrs. Berger leave in January. when ff they got to know Mrs. Wagoner, their new teacher, 9 ' they found they liked her very much. f FIRST AND SECOND GRADES 5 One of the projects of the first and second f f graders was earning money for the Junior Red MQ, Cross. They presented a dramatization of' 'The Mei, Three Little Pigs. They wrote invitations, -VE Jw printed and designed programs, and made tickets LQ to sell for two cents each. The Red Cross nurse 5.2-,Gigli 'N fl put an article, in the Elyria paper about the ,, nltr project andposted some of the programs in the Q,- Elyria Red Cross Office. pf The first and second graders made a feeding 3 3, station for winter birds. Another project was ' building a miniature store for arithmetic class to help in the study of money. Several parties pl were held to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, and 5 Va1entine's Day. lhnong many other worthwhile l'51'L3Q, '! gLi:, projects, they tried with success to write orig- QXFQFJW inal poetry. ,Y I t 3 6:11.
