Those who have been in our class lhroughoul lhe eleven years ol school are: Ruby Mobley, Anna Marie Kosanke, Mary Frances Garrison, William Cralus Arlhur, George Ann Graner, Evelyn Reeves, Harold Whilley, Billie Nell Davis, Belly Lee Rob- erson and Billy Morrison. Jackie Griswold was wilh us lhe enlire lime excepl lor lhe Firsl six weeks ol our senior year. Miss Wanlland and Miss McKinney were our second grade leaqhers. This year was unevenllul excepl lor our learning how lo whisper and shool paper wads in class. In our lhird year ol school Belly Rulh Slone and Kennelh Lowry enlered lhe class, bul T. E. Gill, Jr. moved away. Palsy Moose came in lhis year bul lell and re- enlered several limes before we became seniors. Miss Barkeley and Miss Moore under- look lhe iob ol keeping us quiel lor nine monlhs. Miss Howard and Miss Chapman were our lourlh grade supervisors. Jerry Curry and Curlis Chadwick became new members ol lhe class. Because ol lhe adoplion ol lhe lwelve grade syslem, we lound ourselves in lhe sevenlh inslead ol lhe sixlh grade. Miss Howard and Miss Perkins allempled lo pre- pare us lor our senior year in Ward School. T. E. Gill, Margarel Moser, Lucile Lohman, Joe Ben Whilaker, Billy and Bobby Hise, and John R. Thornlon were new or re- modeled addilions lo lhe class. John Henry Moser, Mary Smilh, and Jane Kilcrease became enlangled in our web ol growing imporlance in I942. Miss Howard and Miss Kimbrough saw us lhrough gradualion wilh all ol ils bell lines lor lhe boys. Miss Vaughn and Mr. Pope underlook lo keep lhe Fish ol I'-743 lrom swimming lhrough dear old H. H. S. loo lasl. Dorolhy Moser, Anela Taylor, Earl Moore, and Louella Massie were lhe new ones lhis year. We raised our slanding wilh lhe upper clasfmen by having our Halloween Oueen crowned al lhe carnival. She was Anela Tay or. As Sophomores we were sponsored by Mrs. Dugger and Mrs. Pope unlil mid- lerm. Mrs. Pope lhen lraded us lo Miss Acock. Nolhing happened, bul we were calch- ing on lo lhis business ol high school lasl. Condell Lowrie look his place wilh us when we became Juniors, Miss Hoeldlke annd Mrs. Pope capably guided us lhrough lhe climax ol lhe year, lhe Junior-Senior Banquel. Under lhe influence ol lhe wine ol anlicipalion, we surged inlo lhe halls ol H. H. S. in lhe lall ol I946 for our lasl lime. How proud we were ol all our accomplishmenls during lhe preceding years! Only nine monlhs, and lhe greal seniors would lace lhe hard, cold lacls ol lile in earnesl. One lhing we were cerlain ol-lo have lun while il lasled, and we made good our delerminalion. Palricia Fuqua, Homer Dorman, Don Welsel, Bobby Brulon, Odell Jordan and Jackie Davis enlered inlo lhe lun wilh us. Mrs. Nuller and Mrs. Royer, lo whom we are elernally gralelul, helped us realize our lond hopes and desires.
