4 Opening CHANGE... Constantly changing to meet the needs of an ever-changing society, Henrico’s physical plant and curriculum were up- dated and improved. A new principal, a new Warrior symbol on the field house, landscaping of the campus, an improved reading program, a program for the hear- ing impaired, and students from many cultures — these were a few of the signs of change on the Reservation. It was a year of change, but change held together by continuing traditions and by the desire of the students and faculty to make the twen- tieth year the best year in the school’s history. ph onstrate’pride in ; dents dem Warrior Power. SINCE THE BEGINNING... Helping Hand. Always ready to give assistance, Mrs. Courtney Frederick a student with an accounting problem. Seven individuals, who have been at the Warrior Reservation since its inception, have contributed 140 years of combined time and talents to create excellence. Each of these per- sons has unselfishly given of himself to make Henrico special in the hearts of its students. These seven staff members have been involved in all facets of school life from classroom teacher to administrator, librarian to department chairman, coach to spon- sor. They have sponsored ten ac- tivities, coached teams in three major sports, and influenced in some way more than 7,000 students. ohn Brown's friendly smile as they arrive at school each morning. 6 Dedication
