Kenny McDowell, a Junior Member of Lakeside Rescue Squad, is faced with many life and death situations. One of Kenny’s friends got him interested in the program, and he became a regular with the squad. Kenny is on second crew which works with the ambulances or on dispatch. To be on the squad, Kenny was required to take advanced first aid, which included CPR. With the completion of the first aid class, Kenny became an EMT, Emergency Medical Technician. Kenny said that he likes working with the squad because it is ex- citing, and he meets many interesting peo- ple. Kenny has been with the squad eleven months and plans to stay for a while.
