FUTURE NURSES TOUR HOSPITALS Being a nurse requires time and energy, and so does being in the Future Nurses Club. Excursions and talks topped the list of activities for the future nur- ses, Early in the year the group visited the Crippled Children’s Hospital, where they entertained and vis- ited with the patients. Senior members were given an opportunity to look into the future when they visited Richmond Memorial Hospital’s open house. The group also toured the University of Virginia campus and hospital. As a service project, clothes and toys were collect- ed for the Hillside Center. Guest speaker Miss Toni Bliley talked to the group about the career of an x-ray technician. Stu- dent nurses from Grace Hospital, Medical College of Virginia, St. Luke’s, and Stuart Circle also gave lec- tures. The student body was invited to see a FNA-spon- sored movie on open-heart surgery in February. Diane Ferguson, President; Mrs. Waldbauer; Rita Wade Sec- retary.
