SALMON, RICHARDSON LEAD Despite their record, the Warrior cross country season was not without its bright spots. Seniors Joe Salmon and Henry Richardson, who led the team throughout the season, were honored with selection to the All-Capital District team. Salmon was a standout performer for four years, setting several records on his home course and at other schools. He sustained only one loss to a team- mate during his last three campaigns, and holds the school mark of 9:56 on the Henrico two-mile course. Richardson ran exceptionally well in his only sea- son of competition, and was the sole Henrico runner to defeat Salmon. Dave Melton, who was also a four-year veteran, Bill Scott, and Ricky Peters were consistent scorers. Sanders Wyatt and Bobby Ragsdale contributed valu- able points on several occasions.
