BULLEN, JR., USN Capfain Bullen assumed command on I December I960, and was relieved by Capfain Earl R. Crawford on 25 January l962. ' He was born in Monfgomery, Ala. on June 8, I9II and affended high school in Shreveporf, La. He enfered fhe U. S. Naval Academy in June I930, and was grad- uafed in fhe class of I934. He served on USS COLORADO, USS BORIE, USS AUGUSTA, USS VEGA and USS MISSISSIPPI from June I934 unfil Ocfober I942. He served in fhe Bureau of Naval Personnel unfil March I944, when he received his firsf command, 'rhe desfroyer, USS BURNS.
