Among these were Five lettermen: Capt. Honor Tutwiler, Lawrence Hudson, Carl Vlfalters, VVoodrow Tutvviler and Lyle Hamilton. The first game of the season was played at Vlfellington on Nov. 3. Welling- ton won easily by the score 35 to 7. After another week of practice East Lynn came here and Went home cle- feated by the score of 22 to 14. Nov. 17 we motored to Potomac and lost a rough game, 25 to 7. Nov. 23 Alvin came here and Went home with a victory: score, 31 to 27. Our next game was with Hoopeston. VVe lost a close game with them. Score, Hoopeston 24, Henning 23. On Dec. S VVellington returned our visit and after three quarters of close playing they broke into the lead and won 32 to 19. . Dec. 15 we went to Bismarck and won our second game of the season, 15-13. Dec. 21 we motorecl to Rossville and were defeated 23-19. Dec. 29-30 we played in the Holiday Tournament at Bismarck. Our first game - was with Bismarck and we won in an overtime, 18 to 15. Our next game was with Hoopeston for the championship. We defeated them 14 to 13. Puyv Fiftfrli

l l 5 . For the third time, on Jan. 12, we played Bismarck and defeated them again. This time the score was 17 to 13. ' lan. 18 we played Alvin in the County Tournament and were defeated 27 to 24. M Feb. 2 we played Rossville here and defeated them. Feb. 8 Potomac came here and defeated us 50 to 10. Feb. 16 we traveled to East Lynn and we were defeated 14-13. Feb. 21 we went to Rossville to play a game for the benefit of the Hoy Scouts of Rossville. VVe won in an overtime 24-22. Feb. 23 we went to Alvin to repay their visit. VVe won 31-23. Mar. 2 we went to Armstrong to play the last scheduled game of the sea- son, and were defeated 30-20. March 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 was the District Tournainent. We played Danville, on VVednesday night, March 7, and were defeated 38-4. 'llhe following boys earned letters: Seniors-Lawrence Hudson, Lyle Hamilton, Carl VValters, Evert llerglund. Juniors-Marvin Allison, Martin Hanson, Clements Edgington. Sophomores--Robert Heck, Herbert Ashwood. Freshmen-Verl Luttrell. Paul Hamilton and Stanley McConnell received a manager's letter. Dean Sperry and Lucile Elliot were given cheer leader letters. Na+.. Each eager soul has reached the goal, Our triumph now attaining, So give a cheer, to comrades dear, And classes still remaining.
