U£e 13amp Hennepin Goun y Genera Ifospitaf Gcfioof of OCurs ny Minneapolis M nneso a Gfass of 1968 We, the class of 1968, respectfully dedicate this yearbook to MISS SALLY HARDING, instructor in Maternal and Child Health Nursing. People need other people as a performer needs an audience. People need to know that other people are depending upon them, waiting for them, pulling with them. People need people who believe in them, trust them, and expect much of them. Richard L. Evans For us it is now the beginning, the start of our careers in the nursing profession. May God grant us the will, the courage, and the ability to uphold the traditions of our chosen profession. c Senior Glass Officers President: J. WALTERS Vice-President: L. BLOM Secretary: G. Mrs. Sivright The Yearbook Staff, representing the graduating class of 1968, uses this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Service League for all they have done, not only for our class but for our School of Nursing. Without them we would not have had the cultural exposure of concerts and plays. Picnics were such treats, and the teas added greatly to celebrations of our “special days.” Their financial support kept our clubs going, and provided our Student Council’s budget, which financed all official student council activities. Thank You. STUDENT COUNCIL: (front) P. Mansour, L. Loftness, J. Newby, C. Oelfke, B. McBain, D. Brett in. (middle) S. Moravec, L. Schuttemeier, C. Bigot, P. Carron, B. Bakken, (back) G. Muller, L. Your care plan is fine except ... and are still starting at 6:10. Breakfast! (check the time!) Then we start to work. Almost ready at 6:30, so ... 8 o'clock meds. And we work ... and work, and work and work? And chart ... until ... lunchtime. Then we have to go to class (a ten minute break) After class Some sleep. and some study!! until suppertime. (we call this ''aftersuppertime”) I haven’t finished my care plan yet. 12th floor Harrington Hall Jincf the Person First, find the person then reach out with simplicity, make the gesture that says: “I will care no matter how physically Tepulsive you become. I will care no matter how angry, hostile or depressed you may be. I will care, even though I may not always understand completely. Just give me the chance to listen to what you have to tell me and teach me to listen. From you who are diseased I will learn to traverse this vast tract of unexplored suffering which no one yet has conquered.
