Students spend four weeks scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures. The remainder of the time is divided to include the other aspects so closely related to nursing. MRS. The psychiatric principles we learned and practiced there are beneficial in our daily dealings with general hospital patients. It was fun to leave the big city for a short time and enjoy nature in St. Peter's quiet setting. 12

JKaterna ancf CecuSorn DCursiny By caring for the mother during labor and delivery, and for both mother and baby after delivery, students find continuity in obstetrical nursing. They study abnormal conditions as well as the normals. They also learn to appreciate the joy of a mother who sees her baby for the first time. J ec ialrics Caring for children is challenging, at time frustrating but oh so rewarding. Through use of care plans, textbooks, and lectures, the students obtain a better understanding of not only the care of sick children but also general principles of dealing with the normal child. MRS.
