Text from Pages 1 - 48 of the 1965 volume:

Uhe JSamp from i ie Glass oj 1963 Dedication The class of 1965 dedicates this annual to MRS. EMIL1E MAGDANZ. Her knowledge of nursing today and hopes for nursing tomorrow have inspired us to seek new horizons in our chosen profession. Her genuine interest in us as nurses and as individuals has motivated us to seek satisfaction of our goals. She has set an example of herself as a professional nurse, an active American, and a warm human being for each of us to follow in our own way. Our thanks go out to her for the guidance and encouragement she has so freely given to us. THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1965 2 Jacufty A statue lies hid in a block of marble, and the art of statuary only clears away the superfluous matter and removes the rubbish. The figure is in the stone; the sculpture only finds it. What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to a human soul. The philosopher, the saint, or the hero, the wise, the good or the great man, very often lies hid and concealed in a plebian, which a proper education might have disinterred, and have brought to life. -----Addison 3 The Sculptures . . . •a (jCursincj 7Ir s Mrs. Clara Bain, RN - BS Cook County Hospital Mrs. Marion Howe, RN - BS University of Minnesota Mrs. Gladys Smith, RN - BS University of Michigan a r a ► IF 7 • h •J 7Ke cficcil-t S urgicaf Mrs. Doris Anderson, RN - BS University of Minnesota Mrs. Martha Makepiece RN - BS University of Minnesota Mrs. JoAnn Krosch, RN - BS College of St. Catherine Mrs. Marianna McCrea, RN - BS Abbott Hospital School of Nursing 4 Mrs. Mary Drury, RN - BS Montana State College 06stetrics T ecfia tries Mrs. Dolly Kawczynski, RN - BS University of Minnesota Miss Lorraine Spielman, RN - BS Jackson Park Hospital Miss Sally Harding, RN - BS Broadlawn Hospital School of Nursing Operating Dioom Miss June Engleson, RN University of Minnesota Jjsgc iiatrg Mrs. Ruth Zimmerman, RN - BS St. Luke's Hospital 5 JlCecficaf c5 iaff BOTTOM ROW: Drs.
