IJH HORNET SPIRIT The spirit at Henley never seemed better. The students still tried to get out of classes as much as ever and at least the rally squads suc- ceeded when they led serpentines through the halls before each game. After game dances were very well attended as were the more formal dances such as the Sweethearts' Ball and the Prom. Everyone seemed to enjoy the concerts at Christmas time and

ALIVE AND WELL again in the spring. The music and drama departments again worked together to put on a musical. This play. Oklahoma, was so successful that in the spring they did You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Freshmen showed their spirit by climbing a mountain to paint the H. Students enjoyed being entertained by both the Air Force and the Marines and seniors and their parents flocked to the Senior Banquet. This was really a good year. In tact, this was one of the very best years that I can remember and I've been teaching quite a few years now.
