Mr. Gerald Gorsegner has the job of teaching both French and Spanish. He has one of the more active classrooms in school with students studying, using the tape recorders, painting murals, and mak- ing scenery for plays and puppet show. At Christmas time the Spanish classes made pinatas. The classes also helped with the Christmas assembly by putting on a skit entitled Christmas around the World. lnsnarz se INCREASES The idea of open classrooms off the media center was a new idea to the librarian, teachers, and stu- dents. At first it was very confusing with everyone having to learn to keep down the noise. Students and teachers soon learned to use the resource center and the library area was seldom empty. The round tables and pleasant arrangement of books added much to the general atmosphere. The students also enjoy- ed the availability of the conference rooms. Mr. Funk was no longer hidden in the magazine room and Mrs. Ongman could actually move in her new A. V. Room. The library had become the center of HHS. Y 011 mmf MTI Above: Brian Rainwater, Sharolyn Cameron, Patti Willg-ing, and Karlene Dearing find the library a pleasant place to study and ex- change ideas.
