As we became sophomores Evon Burns joined us again but Nancy Nicolaus and Eugene Omen transferred to other schools. Our junior year was filled with excitement. We presented the play,nHuckleberry Finn.n In the spring our banquet was held. Our theme, nAnchors Aweigh,' was beautifully carried out to the last detail. At last our senior year had arrived. Our first nHomecomingn for Hendricks High was held. Connie Waugh was our queen and LaDonna Kjeldon and Gail Aune were her attendants. Track 1 Dotty and Daffy JUNIOR GLASS HISTORY In the fall of l9hS, fifteen children started first grade, Of this number eight have gone to school together for eleven years: Allan Johnson, David Thomsen, Harris Ueland, Ramona Uhristensen, Audrey Hexum, Elizabeth Lerseth, Barbara Lovre, and Karen Skovly. Danny Axelson, Valgean Johnson, and James Kragh transferred schools, Lanny Larson joined us in the third grade. Phyllis Enga, Gordon Aune, and James Kragh entered the class ranks in the first year of junior high. Carolyn Nelson, Danny Axelson and Terry Stone trans- ferred to Hendricks School in the eighth grade. Lanny Larson and Audrey Hexum re- ceived the American Legion awards in the eighth grade, As we began our freshman year nine new members joined us. They were Sylvia Felton, Joyce Larson, Wanda Hanson, Alice Christopherson, Joan Bjerke, Donald Ol- son, Richard Hanson, Valgean Johnson, and Merlyn Nicola, This made our number to- tal twenty-eight. Joan Bjerke, Lou Jean Hillyer, Joyce Sam oe, and Robert Sagmoe transfe1rred schools at the beginning of our sophomore year but Deloris Ochocki joined us. In our junior year Richard Hanson, Philip Trooien, and Merlyn Nicola left us.
