DES 1 6fFeatures At Hendersonville High School, students shared in many fun-filled events. The biggest is Homecoming Week. The spirit began on Monday with Let's Get Physical Day'l. Students wore sweatshirts, head- bands, leg warmers and oth- er physical attire. The Freshmen had the highest class participation that day. Tuesday was bandana day. The bandanas, any color, could be worn around head, neck or thigh. The winning class was the Freshmen. For the last week, thirteen beau- tiful girls lboysl had been se- lected for Powderpuff Beau- ties. Pennies were placed in the jars by the students. The girls with the most pennies won. Tuesday night was the Annual Powderpuff Game. Wednesday was a formal dress up day. lnductions into the Valentine Chapter of the National Honor Society were held during second period. Fied and White Day and Hall Decorating contest were scheduled for Thursday. This event was won by the Soph- omore class. Students had Friday off from school, but not from spirit or many other activi- ties. The Keywanettes held a Halloween Stew for the teachers, and the Student Council was decorating for the Homecoming Dance. A field decorating contest was held. All banners, made of a wind resistant material, were to be up by the beginning of the football game that night against Madison. Each class was given a designated area of the fence. The Seniors won with their banner saying, t'Cats are on the Prowl. 250 tickets had to be sold in order for the students to have a Homecoming Dance. The task was accomplished, and the dance was held Sat- urday Night, October 30. The theme was That Old Black Magic. Spirit soared in all the activities and were en- joyed by all. Bearcats joined together in these activities. Sometimes competition was rough but the 'Cats always rose to the occasion. We showed our spirit, creativity and ability in all the activities done at HHS. Fourth Quarter pulls the Bearcats together.
