The 1969 tar Is Dedicated To Mr. Wendell Evanson Since Wendell Evanson first came here in 1958 he has become a prominent and admired figure on the Henderson campus. Through his efforts as director of the marching band, stage band, and concert band Henderson has developed the state's leading music department. As an instructor Mr. Evanson has given much more of his time and of himself than the school requires of him. There were many times when he was asked to have the pep band perform for the student body. Neither he nor the band have ever let Henderson down. Time after time both students and faculty have learned they can depend on Mr. Evanson.
