Foreword 1945 has been a strange year. Part of our Heart has been gone with the boys and girls who are serving our country. In spite of this we have had enriched and profitable school days. This STAR gives you a pic- ture of how you and your friends have spent this wartime school year. As nothing is perfect, mistakes already noticed have crept in at a time too late for correction. Please understand that the printer, the en- graver, and we ourselves have been handicapped by shortages. The time element also has contributed to many mistakes. If these errors con- cern you, we are extremely sorry. In this space the Editor extends sincerest thanks to the Staff, to Miss Bennie Gene Bledsoe, and to Miss Amy Jean Greene for their untiring cooperation.
