The acquisition of our class ring highlighted our entire high school career. We are, without a doubt, proud of our class ring and the symbol of accomplishment it represents. Our final year was at last here. The goal we had set our Freshman year was now a reality. Jim Scheller was given the nod as our Senior class president, with Butch Schwartz as Vice-President, Carol Braun, Secretary, and John Hall, Treasurer. These were the members of our class chosen to lead us through this final year. Jerry Barron, Jerry Smith, Ray Stone, Calvin Allen, John Hall, Virgil Toone, Butch Schwartz, Darrell Sheffer, Joey Ternes, Charles Lander, Larry Cotton, Jim Scheller, and Doug Gibson represented our class on thc football field. Our Cheerleaders, Frances Clark, Leveda Sandefur, and Barbara Laping- ton, did an excellent job supporting the team. Linda Denton and Leveda Sandefur were chosen as candidates for Football Queen. Carol Brann was crowned Miss Winter Wonderland, our Christmas Queen, at the Christmas Holiday Dance. We approached our final Basketball season with Larry Cotton, Darrell Sheffer, Virgil Toone, John Hall, Jerry Smith, and Dale Brown giving their all, and we can't forget Doug Griffin as our Senior Manager. Martha Lantrip was crowned our Basketball Queen. We are also proud of the fine job Sandra Cooksey, Sue Rippetoe, Frances Clark, Don Tallant, Roy Meentemeyer, and Roger Connolly, our All-State Choir members did at Bowling Green. Barbara La pington was elected to the Honor Society. In the Hall of Fame, a project sponsored by Martin's studio and the Service League, we placed 5 students who have excelled in academic subjects. They are: Sandra Cooksey, English: Carol Brann, History, Jerry Smith, Mathematics, Jim Scheller, Foreign Language, and Dale Brown, Science. Time marched on, and soon we found ourselves being measured for ca'ps and gowns, ordering our cards and invitations, and picking The Little Dog Laughed as our class play. We had a wonderful time at the Junior-Senior Barbeque, too. Baccalaureate, Class night, and our night of decision'-Commencement ! !! lt all seemed like a fairy tale, but it was reality. Our high school days had been ended. We sincerely hope, to you who have been our guiding light and inspiration through these final years, that we will continue to shower you with the rich fruits which you so justly deserve, and we hope never to fall short of your high expectations. We appreciate your kind attention, and now this is CAROL and DALE, saying the history is com- plete and may the future of each and every one of you be happy. Thank you. C13 ff
