The purpose of this orgonizotion is to leorn obout the opportunities in teoching, to cultivote the quolities essentiol in o good teoche to study the lives of greot teochers ond to foster the development ot student leadership.

.,J f E BROWN-Science l CAROL BRANN-History HLLUFF A new program honoring the scholastic merit of five senior students was initiated this yearg it is Henderson High Sehool's Hall of Fame. Sponsored by the Service League and lv1artin's Studio, this annual pre- sentation is designed to bring recognition to those students whose ability and initiative have enabled them to achieve high standings in academic subjects. The subjects chosen were English, history and social studies, science mathematics, and foreign languages, Requirements are that a student must have the highest average in the subject lor four years of study, and they must be chosen by the teachers and the principal. The award consists of an ll by l4 portrait ofthe student which will be hung in the Hall of Fame for one year. At the end of this time, the student may claim his award. This new program is meant to give students a goal to work toward' and to create interest in the academic progratn. Mm
