Future Homemakers of America is an organization for any student now enrolled in a high school homemaking course or who has been en- rolled. The local F. H. A. chapter is affiliated with the Kentucky Association of F. H. A. and the National Organi- zation of F. H. A. There are eighty-five members in F. H. A. this year. Each year the organiza- ion sends two delegates to the State F. H. A. meeting held on the campus of one of the State Colleges. The purposes of the organi- zation are: to promote a grow- ing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemaking, to emphasize the importance of worthy home membership, to encourage democracy in home and community life, to work for good home and family life for all, to promote international good will, to foster the develop ment of creative leadership in home and community life, to provide wholesome individual and group recreation, and to further interest in home economics.
