si ma JKater Hail to the dearest school of all, Alma Mater mine. Loyal we will be to thee, singing praises thine. When high school days are over, and we leave this blessed shrine, We ' ll win the victory and the right for Alma Mater and the blue and the white. Fight, fight, fight for Henderson, the team of Alma Mater’s sturdy sons. All students rally to the battle cry, together victory ' s nigh. And when the blue and white will bow to none, we’ll fly the colors of a victory won. Five hundred strong we back you, come on fight! team! fight! All of these things have made up our now gone school days at Henderson High — but we, the Pep Pac staff, have done our best to bring these memories back to you and to make them --- ' ' A PART OF MY HEART. 3

Jfeart 1961-1962 A PART OF MY HEART is made up of the many wonderful memories which we have experienced through this year--1961-1962. Our memo ries began on the first day of school when all of our four classes, as well as our tireless, patient teachers, returned to Henderson High School. From that day to this, we have crammed many activities into a very short time. As we look back over this year, we will recall our fun and laughter during the school hours, the tardy bells and buzzers that always rang too soon, the an¬ nouncements that were often not heard for the noise of the train, the confusion in the halls as we changed classes, the students who crowded at the break trying to get ice cream, the hungry mob waiting in line in the cafeteria, and the eagerly awaited 3:15 final bell. At our athletic events and pep rallies, we have proudly sung our two school loyalty songs, the Alma Mater and the Fight Song.” 2
