Senior Issue THE BULLDOG Page Fifteen The Seniors Of 1942 Meeting for thelasttimeasawhole, the seniors of Henderson High School presented their annual history of the four years completed during their reign in high school May S. The March of Time was read by Randolph Mills, president of the stu- dent body. During the year '38 and '39 the play Polyanna was present- ed. The Actors and introduced with each character. Members of the cast were Jean Candler, Carl Brown, Jackie Wester, Randolph Mills, Ar- thur Webb, M, W. Wester and Billy Slack. The March of Time Continued on into the Junior year. The Junior- Senior Banquet held that year was of the South American style. Mary Har- rison, dressed as a South American girl sang a Native song. Applause brought her back for the second song. Footloose, a play consisting of most- ly young people and bewildered pa- rents, was given. A scene from that was presented by Vivian Zapantis as the crabby spinsterg Maria Legg as the oldest girl in her family, trying to do the best she can by her young sister, played by Jean Candler, and her brother, played by Billy Slack. Willis Blacknall acted the part of Billy's best pal. Members of the class enlisted in our armed forces are as follows: P Yernelle Turner, Navyg Eugene Grissom, Navy, Silas Roberts, Navyg Charlie Vlfortham, Navyg and James Grissom, Army. As time Marche-d on into the years '-11 and '42 which proved to be the dignified senior year, the Class was honored by the Junior Class by giv- ing them, instead of the annual Jun- icr-Senior Banquet, entertainment in the form of a Carnival. Mr. and Miss America were chosen that night, Katherine Legg as Miss Amer- ica and Jimmy Johnson as Uncle Sam. The class play that year was An- other Springflu A wedding scene re- presented this cvent. Most important characters were Thomas Faulkner and Maria Legg. VVhen the March of Time ended, the superlatives were announced.
