LEAH IRVVIN MACNAIR-At the age of twenty-one, this fair damsel accepted the role of the XVorld's Tallest Lady, with the Barnum and Bailey circus. and at the same time, Mary Boyd XYhite was offered the title of the VVorld's Smallest Lady. which position, however. she declined in order to pose for magazine health articles on Phe lncorrect XYay to Reduce, XY. A. lfl'NT-In his final year at college, Vyilliam Andrew made the All-American Eleven. In a very thrilling and exciting game, he tackled Red Grange and accidentally broke Reds neck: thereupon, the Gallop- ing Ghosts crown was bestowed upon Evo : who was dubbed the ln- visihle ignition. MARTHA GOUCl I-Yery soon after her graduation, this attractive blond was lured into the movies, where after much success, she took the place of Mary Pickford in the hearts of the pul:-lic. She attained the climax of her career in a thrilling desert picture, which was called The Sheik's Sheba, with Garland Nelson, who has become Valentino's successor, after carefully haying read that daring book, The Secret of A Kiss or A Vampires Own ltliographyf' written hy Annie Thomas. l3l.Ul'N'll SXYAlNfThe United States Naval Academy at Annapolis found an excellent cadet in Lieutenant Swain, and it also discovered that be was not as blunt as his name may indicate. After he had completed his service at the Academy, Blount continued to make great progress, until he receiyed the appointment of Secretary of the Navy, during the administra- tion of Miss Nannie A. Crowder, the first woman president of the 'United States. FANNIE POVVELl,fln her form was horn the spirit of a new literature, and the poets of the globe bowed in appreciation of her gifted art. As Fannie Crosby paved her way to Fame through her religious hymns, so did Fannie Powell, with her life-giving poetry. Her outstanding poem is entitled, lf Money XVere Sorrow, l'd be the Happiest Girl Alive. HQXVARD UPTON-Henderson High athletics had many successful sea- sons under the leadership of Lefty. who was appointed coach and also as- sistant instructor of Intelligence Tests. His wife, Miss Sarah lflall, did, at last, conform to long skirts and acted as principal of the school, as long as the tasks were simple, hut when their duties grew more laborious, they gave up their Work and retired to Oxford, where they now reside with Mrs. Upton's father. MILDRED MURRELL-From the four corners of the Earth, men marveled at her exquisite grace and ease at the piano. In conjunction with Rosa Lee Day, Helen lflight, and Elizabeth Mills as feminine minstrels, she toured the country rand incidentally, a few of the townsi. 'llwcnty-six

The erection of the magnificent new XVhite House in Vkfashington has heen personally supervised hy Mr. uloyner, who, after its completion, accepted the contract to draw the plans of the famous Stone Mountain Hotel at ,-Xtlanta, Georgia, SHIRLEY Lf DXVRY-Knowing hasket hall as she does, Miss Lowry found it quite simple to succeed in the game, and returned to Henderson High as directress of Physical Education, ROY EVANS-'llliis extremely peppy young man exceeded his own pep one day and swam the English channel, with the once famous Gertrude Ederle as trainer. Lipon completing the long swim, he was overwhelmed hy an astonishing offer of fifty thousand dollars from the Glo-Glue Hair Dressing Company to endorse their hair preparation, hy attrihuting the neat appearance of his hair to Glo-Clue, not one whisp of his hair lmeing dis- arranged during his lengthy stay in the water. IZESSIE EV.-XNS+XVith Elizabeth Ellington as partner, she won great success in the Follies with a bill known as The Flapper's Prayer. Flizaheth played the role of the Flapper, and llessie enacted that of the prayer. bl. li, Cl..-XRK-Dulmherl hy his schoolmates, Shakespeare this very literary young man earned a right to that name and became the world's lead- ing' playwright and novelist of the new literature. lrlis chief topic for his work was discourses on Love-his inspiration coming from memories ol his Senior year at lligh School with a Freshman hrunette. The Yoice seemed to die away slowly. Finally, it hecame almost inaudihle. ln vain did l whirl the dials, hut the strange speaker was no more. 'llhe fire was quite low now and the room was fast losing its cheery warmth. 1 Putside. the snow fell faster and thicker than ever. and the wind roared dismally around the corners of the house. .Xnd out there, somewhere, was that strange Voice-that Voice which had hrought to me precious recollections of my classmates.
