Any teacher who can wear a mini skirt left over from the seven- ties, attach 27 lion emblems to herself, then sit in the hall in a snug sack covered with lions deserves something. Even before she did this, the an- nual staff decided to dedicate this volume of the Lions Den to Miss Joe Hudson for her evident school spirit. Her enthusiasm is obvious since she was also voted as having the most school spirit by the seniors in a fun faculty Hi-Life Poll. A familiar face at sporting events, Miss Hudson is not con- tent to be merely a spectator. This year she supervised the construc- tion of a gigantic spirit sign placed Joe Hudson Dedicatee on Hwy 64 for the football team to see as they were on their way to the bi-district playoffs. Miss Hudson teaches a variety of social studies courses from world history to sociology, depending on her schedule. She supports her students in the Classroom as well as on the play- ing field and is always quick to give compliments, encourage- ment and good constructive Criticism. Whether in or out of class she is always there with a smile and cheerful word. So it is with respect and sincerity that we say — Miss Hudson, we think you are Top of the Line. 17

Big people, little people, tall people, short people, dark peo- ple, light people, adult people, student people, bright people, not-so bright people — there are all kinds of people that walk the halls here, and this variety is what makes the school have its own personality. One special group of people this year is the Seniors. (Aren't Seniors always special?) They are the first class to be graduated after walking the halls of the new high school for four years. The building opened back in 1979 when they entered as freshmen. They are the first of a long line of graduates who will have attended classes here for four years and discovered they are special
