The trick this year was to find a shirt, skirt, sweater, or pair of jeans without some kind of insignia. Foot fashions saw some old style revivals with ballerina shoes, flats, penny loafers, and topsiders. The dependable boots and tennis shoes have stayed and stayed and stayed. Mini-skirts (longer than those of the ‘70’s) showed up again, and sweater dresses made a brief showing. The main characteristic of fashion this year was that everyone was in style in anything — 1oeach his own. Tangela Gates wears a mini shirt and Jackie Runnels sports a sweater dress and leg warmers.
