FOREWORD The immortal Knute Rockne once said, Football is a hazardous game, but so is lifef' Other implements might have been employed, but the annual staff chose the sport of football to convey to you events of our school days of 1948-49. The building of character of American Youth, as we know it, would be quite difficult without wholesome activities like football. Theodore Roosevelt said, In life, as in a football game, the principle to follow is: Hit the line hard, donit foul and don't shirlc, but hit the line hard. It is comforting to find in our youth today lasting concepts of that - Our Amer- ican way of life.
