QQQQQQQQQQ The Henderson Band is an active and important group at Henderson High. lt helps to boost school spirit by performing at football games and at pep rallies. The Band also participated in the Homecoming parade, bonfires, and the Holiday Assembly. Drum Major Greg Hartley and Assistant Drum Major Lisa Smith keep the Band at their best when performing at these various activities. Under the leadership of director David J. Coles, the Band has won eighteen trophies at marching festivals in this year alone! Each girl has to take baton lessons and they also have to play an instrument in the band before they even try out! The majorettes help promote spirit for the Football team and school by performing in the pep rallies and the half-time shows. In band festivals throughout the season, the, ma- jorettes have performed superbly. Even during practice, these talented and devoted girls work as hard as possi- ble. They push themselves to the point of excellence.
