5 gy ,L , we-, - M, .f-0 MW L I Henderson's Social Studies department, head- ed by Miss Verna Colston, offers some of the most interesting courses. The department also boasts some of the most interesting teachers. The ways in which they pass the time range from playing golf to watching old movies. Because they put their personalities into their lectures, these lectures rarely become boring. Of course awake students learn more than students who were driven to doze, which accounts for the number of history buffstwalking the hallways and for the success of the Social Studies Team. ARTS Henderson's Foreign Language teachers may have one of the most difficult teaching assignments. They must start with the rudiments of the language and help the students work their way up to proficiency. The Fine Arts teachers have no easy task ahead of them, either. Their job is to aid prospective artists. singers, and musicians in reaching their full potential. The Industrial Arts department, headed by Mr. Rick Moore, teaches students skills such as drafting, graph- ic arts, and photography. Opposite page: Top Left: John Hogan. Top Right: Carol Johnston.
