Students Punk Out For Spirit Week The credit for success of this year's spirit week is aimed not at the plan- ners, but at the participants. The week consisted of five wild and weird days, including tropical day, button day, hat day, punk day, and fifties day. Al- though all days got an excellent re- sponse, there is no argument as to which day was the most successful. Punk day ranked above all. Many stu- dents donned mini-skirts, cat-eye glasses and black lipstick to celebrate the day. No one expected Henderson to produce so many closet radicals! Blue hair, black pantyhose, and chains were the prevailing style of the day. It is a wonder there was no slam dance in the hall. The gyrations would not have been out of place on that day. All the students wore their costumes with pride. For this one week out of the year nobody had to worry about look- ing stupid.
