Girls Track Team Wins Region Event The girls track team was out to reach incredible heights. They start- ed out with forty members and end- ed up with only twenty. These twen- ty girls were extremely dedicated and strived for number one every time they ran. They were pushed on toward victory through every meet and every practice by Beth Swan- son, the Varsity coach. They en- dured rainy meets and several no shows by photographers. Amazingly enough, there were no injuries all season. The sweat and practice definitely paid off, though. April Johnson ran her personal best in the mile and placed in the top 40 in the county, in the mile. The awesome varsity 440 relay team placed first in the region 8-AAAA track meet. They dropped a baton once in the finals, but they had a record-breale ing time a Region and went unde- feated in the regular season. Cleckwise from top right: Laina Vor Bach.
