HILLTOP HIGHLIGHTS 1978 Volume XVI Henderson Central School Dedication PHYLLIS J. KING CHOOSING SOMEONE TO DEDICATE A YEARBOOK TO IS NOT A SIMPLE TASK. ALL OF THE STAFF HERE AT HCS GREATLY DESERVE IT. BUT OF COURSE, EACH YEAR WE ONLY CAN PICK ONE. SHE HAS A WARM, FRIENDLY PERSONALITY, AND, TO PUT IT MILDLY, IS TERRIFIC IN EVERYTHING SHE DOES. ALSO, TO PUT UP WITH THIS YEAR’S SENIOR CLASS FOR SIX YEARS, SHE HAS TO BE UNDERSTANDING. Agaciewski 20 Exchange Students Marcela DeJuan Marcela DeJuan is from Santiago, Chile, and is residing with Miss Phyllis King in Henderson Harbor. Marcela will complete the 1977-78 school year here as a Junior. Mar- cela’s father owns a woolen mill outside Santiago and her mother is a clothes designer. She has three sisters at home. The Henderson Central School Spanish classes have benefited from her visit, and we hope she has gained from them also in learning the American language and customs. Marcel Mensch is a new student at Henderson Central. His home is in Ecador and is living here with Mr Mrs Wilbur Pope, Adams, New York. His parents live on a plantation on which they grow pepper, cocoa, coffee, and beef cattle. Marcel is enrolled in the Senior class but is taking both 11th 12th grade subjects. Snow and cold weather have been the greatest adjustment for Marcel, since his home is near the Equator and he said it was 98° when he left home Marcel Mensch 21 FR°NT ROW: L. Spinaci, A. Smith, J.
