YEARBOOK STAFF The success of a yearbook organization's work lies in the outcome of one publication a year. There is no tomorrow, next week or next month to make the readers forget the omissions and mistakes of a past issue. Thus it is that every yearbook staff strives to be successful in the one school annual it puts out. Our group this year is no exception. In addition to the editing, typing and arranging that goes into a year- book's preparation, we must think of the means to finance this volume of Hilltop Highlights. Fortunately, there was some money remaining from the Class of 1967's generous donation to the year- book. For this we arc very grateful. Likewise, we arc most appreciative of all‘who supported our benefit activities this year. One closing thought: we hope you like Volume VI of Hilltop Highlights. You helped us make it! The Staff 5

DEDICATION KATHRYN E. STEVENS First Grade Teacher Those of us fortunate enough to have had Miss Stevens as a teacher look back with a feeling of gratitude and respect for her assistance in getting us started on our educational career. If we have had any success a portion, perhaps the largest portion, of credit belongs to her patience and understanding. From this dedicated teacher we gained our first knowledge of reading, 'riting and 'rithmetic. Everything that came later had to be built on the foundation she laid.
