Harry Truman said; ‘When All Is Said And Done . . . The Buck Stops Here!” Among the most important people in the school, no doubt the principal is one of them. His many tasks amount to a desk full of work that has no end. These tasks include solving problems, authorizing school activities, keep- ing in touch with the Downtown Administration and many more. Usually they end up as one might expect, as a headache. Being principal of a school as large as Hempstead is not an easy job and many (Continued on pg 12) 10 Administration

Administration responsibilities are in his hands. Yet he makes time to walk through the halls, talk with the students and see what's going on in various classes. But Mr. Moody isn't the sole Administrator. He re- ceives a LOT of help and sup- port from the Associate Prin- cipal, Mr. Peck; the Assistant Principals, Mr. Hauth, Kirk, and Potts and the Activity Ad- visor, Mr. Derouin.
